चर्चित फ्रेन्चाइज ‘कबड्डी’ को चौथो भागलाई ‘द फाइनल म्याच’ भनिएपछि धेरैले काजीको कथा सकियो भन्ठाने। तर निर्देशक रामबाबु गुरुङका अनुसार त्यतिबेला काजीको प्रेम जीवनको एउटा अध्याय मात्र टुंगिएको थियो, कथा त्यहीँ रोकिएको थिएन। चार वर्षपछि बाँकी कथा भन्न ‘कबड्डी ५’ बनेको हो, जसको प्रदर्शन मिति कात्तिक ६ गते तय गरिएको थियो।
गुरुङका अनुसार चौथो भागमा प्रेम जीवनको अध्याय पूरा भएपछि यसपटक काजीको व्यावहारिक पाटो देखाउने सोच बनेको हो। दर्शकको हौसलाले यो विचार जन्मायो। त्यसपछि दयाहाङ राईसँग छलफल हुँदा उनी पनि तयार भए, र गुरुङले लेखन सुरु गरे। पाँचौँ भाग बनाउनैपर्ने कुनै बाध्यता आफूलाई नभएको उनले स्पष्ट पारे।
उनको बुझाइमा समयसँगै पात्रहरू परिपक्व भएका छन् र दर्शकसँगै हुर्किएका छन्। टोली पनि एउटै पात्रसँग लगातार काम गरिरहेकाले तिनका कथासँग आफ्नै भावना जोडिएको छ। अब काजीको कथा के हुन्छ भन्ने जिज्ञासा सधैँ रहिरहने भएकाले कथा अघि बढाइएको हो।
बासुरी फिल्म्सको ब्यानरमा बनेको फिल्ममा दयाहाङ राई, विजय बराल, बुद्धि तामाङ, विपिन कार्की, मिरुना मगर, सिर्जना गुरुङ र रिश्मा गुरुङ मुख्य भूमिकामा छन्। निर्माता निर्देशक गुरुङसँगै मणिराम पोखरेल, मधु मिजार र विशाल गुरुङ (एलजी) हुन्। सागर राज कार्यकारी निर्माता हुन्।
When the fourth film of the popular franchise 'Kabaddi' was called 'The Final Match', many assumed Kaji's story was over. But according to director Rambabu Gurung, only one chapter of Kaji's love life had ended at that time, and the story had not stopped there. 'Kabaddi 5' has been made four years later to tell the rest, and its release date was set for Kartik 6.
According to Gurung, after the love-life chapter was completed in the fourth part, the idea this time was to show Kaji's practical side. Audience encouragement gave birth to this idea. When he then discussed it with Dayahang Rai, Dayahang was ready too, and Gurung began writing. He made clear that he felt no obligation to make a fifth part.
In his understanding, the characters have matured with time and have grown up along with the audience. Since the team has also been working continuously with the same characters, their own feelings are tied to those stories. Because curiosity about what happens next to Kaji always remains, the story has been taken forward.
The film, made under the Basuri Films banner, stars Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral, Buddhi Tamang, Bipin Karki, Miruna Magar, Sirjana Gurung and Rishma Gurung in the main roles. The producers are director Gurung along with Maniram Pokharel, Madhu Mijar and Bishal Gurung (LG). Sagar Raj is the executive producer.
