‘खलनायक रिटर्न्स’मा सञ्जय दत्त र सलमान खानको जोडीSanjay Dutt and Salman Khan to Reunite in 'Khalnayak Returns'
सञ्जय दत्त र सलमान खानको लोकप्रिय जोडी फेरि एकपटक ठूलो पर्दामा सँगै देखिने भएको छ। सन् १९९३ को चर्चित बलिउड चलचित्र ‘खलनायक’ को सिक्वेलका रूपमा निर्माण हुन लागेको ‘खलनायक रिटर्न्स’ मा उनीहरू सँगै देखिने बलियो सम्भावना रहेको छ।
यस सिक्वेलमा सञ्जय दत्तले ‘बल्लु बलराम’ को आफ्नो चर्चित पुरानो भूमिकालाई नै निरन्तरता दिनेछन् भने सलमान खानलाई एक इमानदार प्रहरी अधिकृतको भूमिकाका लागि प्रस्ताव गरिएको छ। मिड-डेलाई उद्धृत गर्दै सार्वजनिक खबरहरूअनुसार सलमानको यो पात्रले कथालाई अघि बढाउन र सञ्जयको पात्रलाई सघाउन महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेल्नेछ।
सञ्जय दत्तले गत अप्रिल २०२६ मा यस चलचित्रको औपचारिक घोषणा गर्दै पहिलो झलक (टिजर) समेत सार्वजनिक गरिसकेका छन्। सलमान खानसँग हाल यस भूमिकाका विषयमा छलफल चलिरहेको छ। यद्यपि, पटकथाको काम जारी रहेकाले कलाकारहरूको अन्तिम चयन हुन बाँकी छ र सलमानलाई क्यामियो वा पूर्ण भूमिका केका लागि प्रस्ताव गरिएको हो भन्ने आधिकारिक पुष्टि भइसकेको छैन।
यसैबीच, मूल चलचित्रकी मुख्य अभिनेत्री माधुरी दीक्षित पनि सिक्वेलमा छोटो भूमिका (क्यामियो) मा देखिने चर्चा छ। मूल चलचित्रका निर्देशक सुभाष घई यसपटक सल्लाहकारका रूपमा मात्र रहनेछन् भने नयाँ निर्देशकको टुंगो लाग्न बाँकी छ।
Iconic Bollywood duo Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan are set to potentially reunite on the big screen for 'Khalnayak Returns', the official sequel to the 1993 blockbuster hit 'Khalnayak'.
Sanjay Dutt is set to reprise his legendary role as 'Ballu Balram', while Salman Khan has been offered the role of an honest police officer. According to reports citing Mid-Day, Salman's character is expected to play a crucial role in advancing the storyline and supporting Dutt's character.
Dutt officially announced the project in April 2026 and unveiled its first teaser. While discussions with Khan are currently underway, casting has not been finalized as scriptwriting remains in progress. It is still unconfirmed whether Khan's proposed appearance will be an extended cameo or a full-fledged starring role.
Additionally, Madhuri Dixit is reported to make a cameo appearance in the sequel. Original director Subhash Ghai will serve as a consultant on the project, with the main director yet to be announced.
