Yudhishthira Searches Earth for His Brothers in 'Panch Pandav'

The first trailer of 'Panch Pandav', releasing on Kartik 20, is out. The two-and-a-half-minute trailer, released Thursday to mark Navaratri, offers a short glimpse of the story. It suggests the film uses the five Pandavas of the Mahabharata as symbols to tell a story of today's Nepali society.
In the trailer, Yudhishthira (Hari BanshaAcharya) comes from heaven and wanders the earth searching for his brothers Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadeva. Why he is looking for them is not revealed. At the end, Eva Giri appears as Draupadi, and Yudhishthira seems captivated by her beauty. The trailer hints that mythological characters are presented in a modern style.
Directed by Basanta Nirola, the film features Hari Bansha Acharya, Jitu Nepal, Aryan Sigdel, Mahesh Tripathi, Sushil Sitaula, Deepashree Niraula, Sarita Giri, Binod Neupane, Rama Thapaliya, Eva Giri and Prashant Tamrakar. Kali Rani Shrestha is the producer and Naveen Shrestha the presenter.
Journalist Sushil Poudel wrote the story. Cinematography is by Shyam Tamang, editing and color grading by Supreme Parajuli, music by Arjun Pokharel, sound design by Uttam Neupane, background score by Sujil Karmacharya and VFX by Pukar Dhimal. Action is directed by Samrat Basnet, with choreography by Gambhir Bista and Bikram Swar. RR Films will distribute the film.
